We have opened our doors and are taking every measure possible to minimize the risk of Covid-19.

We have a dedicated team keeping up to date with any changes to government guidelines; this guide is subject to change to ensure your safety whilst being committed to delivering the experience you have become accustomed to at Golden Wood.

The welfare of our guests and teams at Golden Wood has always been our first priority. We are currently working extremely hard, so when you are able to visit us again, you can do this feeling assured that we have in place all the precautions to minimize the spread of Covid-19 and keep you and your loved ones safe.

We have adapted hotel operations focusing on hygiene, sanitization and social distancing, underpinned by supervision to ensure your safety and that of our team’s, which is our number one priority. Our team is re-trained to work within government guidelines whilst still offering excellent levels of service so we can get back to doing what we do best, hosting you.

SAFETY MEASURES & HOUSE RULES

Making our place COVID secure. Please note that our processes and precautions will be under constant review, and this guide will be constantly updated to give you the very latest information. We will, of course, always comply with all government regulations. We’ve considered the entire customer journey to assess how we can keep you as safe as possible, whilst still giving you the outstanding experience we’re known for. Please see our plan below.

1. Pre-Arrival:​

You can book your stay by calling our reservations team at +91 99022 97022. We are available 24/7.

The following procedures are for your peace of mind, prior to your stay, however, our guest relations team will be happy to talk to you if you have any further concerns or questions.

We politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you call us to postpone your stay. These include a high temperature, a new and persistent cough and cold, or if there are any other indications.

We strongly recommend that you download the government-approved track and tracing app (Arogya Sethu) to ensure we are all alerted to any guests who may pose a risk of spreading Covid-19. Guests will be required to submit a signed self-declaration form and share their travel history for the 30 days, prior to arrival.

After you have booked with us, our team will be in contact the week prior to your arrival and provide you with all the necessary information about your stay, our latest Covid-19 management processes, and information about the local area.

We request that guests make all payments in advance before arrival. We only accept payments done through online transfers & Paytm. For purchases in the gift shop, we recommend using an online payment method or a card; the EDC machines are sanitized after every use.
2. Arrival & Check-in:

Customers are requested to contact us 15 minutes prior to arrival to ensure our meet and greet team are on hand to assist with your arrival and check-in, please be aware check-in is from 11 am onwards. Early check-in is subject to availability.

Temperature checks will be conducted every time a guest, or team member enters the property. Should the temperature be higher than 99 degrees, along with other symptoms, including but not limited to coughing, sneezing and shortness of breath, entry to the property will be denied and the person will be assisted to visit the nearest hospital or healthcare facility.

Hand sanitizers will be provided at all entries and exits, customers will be required to sanitize before entering the property.

All surfaces, screens, door handles and equipment will be regularly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.

If you have any special requirements please let us know before you arrive so we can make the necessary preparations with everybody’s safety in mind (subject to availability).

3. Common Areas:

We have enhanced our cleaning procedures to include extensive cleaning of shared surfaces throughout the day.
-
We have set up hand sanitizing stations throughout the premises for you to use and we politely ask you to use these when entering the property, and regularly after.
-
We request our guests to wear their masks within the premises throughout the day.

When walking through the property we will ask that you please use your discretion and consideration by keeping a social distance of a minimum of 2 meters between yourself and other guests or staff.

Guests must follow the government recommended practices for coughing and sneezing. Spitting is strictly prohibited on the premises and in the property vehicles and is punishable by law.

All property vehicles are cleaned, sanitized and inspected before and after every use.

No visitors will be allowed.

Certain common areas, including the waterfall, plantation walks, etc, can be accessed by signing up for it in advance. No two groups of guests will be allowed in these areas at the same time. Getting into or dipping feet and hands in any water body is prohibited.

The kitchen and washing area entry is prohibited for guests.
4. Bedrooms & Bathrooms:

Guests will be provided with hand sanitizer in all our cottages for you to use.

Every guest bedroom and ensuite will be fully sanitized before each stay and sealed to ensure no contamination occurs prior to your arrival.

To ensure the safety of all our guests, we are maintaining a gap of 24 hours between guests check-out and check-in.

Fabric items such as mattresses, pillows, cushions, carpet, chairs and other furniture are sprayed with an approved sanitizing solution, which is effective in killing germs but otherwise harmless to you and us.

All surfaces are thoroughly wiped down and cleaned prior to your arrival.

Linens, towels are professionally washed on high heat, with added sanitization.

All printed material has been removed from your room to avoid cross-contamination.

Our housekeeping teams undergo strict sanitization prior to starting work.

Daily servicing by our housekeeping team will only be available upon request. Should you require this service; rooms will need to be vacant and personal items including toiletries stowed away.
5. Food:

When you stay with us you can dine in your room or, where guidance and regulations permit, in the designated dining areas.

Mandatory sanitizing and quarantining are carried out of all non-perishable supplies once they are received at the property. Perishable items, including fruits, vegetables, groceries and other ingredients are thoroughly cleaned at the time of receipt.

We respectfully request that guests endeavor to adhere to times to ensure food is served hot at all times.

To manage social distancing, we will agree to dining times in your pre-arrival call.

We request guests to kindly sanitize or clean the containers that you may carry food or beverages in; that may be brought onto our property.

Hand sanitizers will be kept at the entry and exit points to use and should be used every time you enter or exit a space.
6. Check-out:

To check out, all you need to do is inform our manager your time of check out and leave your key in your room.

We ask that you use the hand sanitizers before leaving the premises.

7. Our People: Training, Hygiene and Protection:

All of our teams have undergone comprehensive hospitality-focused training on how to prevent the contagion of Covid-19. We will continue to elevate our training as best practices evolve.

The team members will restrict the formation of groups that break social distancing norms. They will aim to maintain social distancing norms while interacting with guests throughout the property. Guests are requested to cooperate with the team.

The team is maintaining appropriate hygiene standards and wearing gloves and masks, in all areas, throughout their shift.

Any staff member who shows symptoms will be immediately sent home and will be required to self-isolate for 14 days prior to returning to work.

Hand sanitizing stations are located at all entry and exit points for the teams to use.

We request our guests to strictly adhere to the rules while on the premises. The management reserves the rights of admission and the refusal of service for guests not following social distancing, cleanliness and hygiene norms and the house rules.
